I have always had a .mac email address, now when I log in it says I am joseph.edwards@me.com and only email seems to work. – no calendar sync, no address sync. What is going on?

My family plan .Mac account was migrated to an Individual plan MobileMe account. How silly is that?

Well my MobileMe migration went ok but the fact that they changed uri’s on you is BS. I’ve other issues with the new 2.0 software – I can’t get wifi to work on my itouch – Even after erasing the itouch and a factory restore. I’d say all in all that they rolled out too many new things at once – way too many variables from a deployment standpoint…

Mark: Yes, I know the name has been reassigned because when I try the Lost Password feature it says they’re going to send email to someone at 11thhourentertainment.com — not a domain I’ve ever heard of.

Sorry to hear about the problems Doug. I hope they resolve quickly for you and do right by you to compensate for the loss of time and service. I guess I was fortunate to not have those issues with my .Mac transition to MobileMe. Atleast it’s a “first world” problem and not life or death.

Apple is a great hardware/software company. They’re still figuring out web services. Letting someone sign up for a MobileMe account using a username that is already taken for .Mac, when MobileMe is essentially .Mac 2.0 — that’s a fundamental blunder. Are you sure that is someone else’s newly-created MobileMe account? If so, they screwed up.
