But we just didn't think the music was such an obvious fit for Cirque du Soleil. Felt a bit forced and awkward. Music is great. (The Love CD is a thrill for any Beatles fan.) A few of the acts in Love aren't up to the typical Cirque du Soleil standards, IMHO. The aerial acts are tops. Having grown up in the 50s and 60s, I’m as much a Beatles fan as anyone. But we just didn’t think the music was such an obvious fit for Cirque du Soleil. Felt a bit forced and awkward. Music is great. (The Love CD is a thrill for any Beatles fan.) O is more "wow" factor with the water and diving and acrobatics that are water based. And... certainly worth seeing. But more of a spectacle than a theatrical story. Cirque du Soleil's Love is very popular, but how people rate it often has to do with how much they enjoy the Beatles. People who like or "love" the music simply adore the show. Those who don't have a taste for Beatles music find it enjoyable, but don't get the same feeling from it. Enjoyed the post!
